This warm, nourishing bedtime drink draws from the Ayurvedic tradition of using Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) as a powerful sleep aid and nervine tonic. The name Ashwagandha translates to "smell of the horse," referring to the strength it imparts. Combined with warming spices and milk, it creates a deeply calming Rasayana (rejuvenative) drink that helps quiet an overactive mind. Research suggests that Ashwagandha root extract can significantly improve sleep quality and reduce sleep onset latency. The adaptogenic herb modulates cortisol and GABAergic pathways, promoting natural relaxation.
