Managing blood sugar is critical for metabolic health, and Ayurveda offers several herbs traditionally used for Prameha (metabolic disorders involving excess urination and sugar). This combination pairs Ceylon cinnamon — shown in multiple studies to improve fasting blood glucose — with fenugreek seeds, which contain soluble fiber and compounds that may improve insulin sensitivity. In Ayurveda, blood sugar imbalances often reflect a Kapha-Pitta condition with weakened Agni. These warming, slightly bitter herbs help kindle metabolic fire and reduce excess Kapha. This remedy is intended as a complement to, not a replacement for, medical care.

Ingredients

  • Warm Water1 cup
  • Ceylon Cinnamon Powder1/2 tsp (must be Ceylon, not Cassia)
  • Turmeric Powder1/4 tsp
  • Fenugreek Seeds1 tsp, soaked overnight

Dosage Guidance

Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight. In the morning, drink the soaking water along with the softened seeds. Separately, add cinnamon and turmeric to warm water and drink before breakfast. Alternatively, sprinkle cinnamon on oatmeal or in coffee. Use daily for at least 8—12 weeks for meaningful results. Monitor blood sugar regularly.

Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider for personalized dosage recommendations.

Contraindications & Warnings

  • Must not replace prescribed diabetes medication.
  • Use Ceylon cinnamon only Cassia cinnamon contains coumarin.
  • May interact with blood sugar-lowering medications monitor closely.
  • Consult your doctor before starting if you have diabetes.
