Kadha is a traditional Ayurvedic decoction that has been used for centuries to combat upper respiratory infections. This warming, immune-boosting brew combines the anti-inflammatory power of turmeric with the expectorant and antimicrobial properties of ginger, tulsi, and black pepper. In the Ayurvedic tradition, colds and coughs are primarily Kapha disorders — excess mucus and congestion. This Kadha kindles Agni, clears Kapha, and supports the body natural immune response. Research suggests curcumin and gingerols have significant anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity.
